These are hand made rolag/punis, and they remind me of a spring garden - gorgeous bursts of bright flower colors -- pinks, purples, oranges, yellows, reds! All surrounded by a canopy of different shades of green.
By default, these rolags are made with 19u superwash merino. I am happy to substitute this for another fiber type if you prefer (such as regular merino if you are a felter), just note me with your order. Superwash means that the wool will not felt by washing it, which makes it so your stitches are preserved once it's spun into yarn, and it's easier to care for. Superwash wool can still be needle felted.
I have priced these so that the more you buy, the more you save!
*If you need more than 4oz, no problem, but please keep in mind that larger orders take longer to complete. Contact me if you need it by a specific date and I will do everything I can to get it done quickly for you.*
Punis and rolags are a very fun way to spin fiber. They are easier to hold onto than big art batts and all of the drafting work has already been done for you. They may look confusing, but this is actually my favorite way to spin fiber! I usually spin my fiber straight from the locks, so whenever I get a chance to spin some of my rolags it's a real treat.
Joining them together is as simple as touching it to the fiber as it spins, and this way of spinning creates predictable, gorgeous variations in your hand spun yarn. If you prefer to felt, feel free! It will work for that too.
Thanks for looking!
