- 80% Rose Pearl / 20% Linen
- Lace Weight
- 656 Yards
- 100g Skein
This yarn is incredibly rare and unusual. 100% vegan, this yarn is shiny like cotton or silk, but it not stiff at all and is incredibly soft. It is is perfect for people who want a beautiful yarn that is not made out of wool. This was custom spun for us as a part of a new test run for several different unique and unusual yarn blends, and we only have a limited quantity of skeins at this time. The yarn is shimmery just like silk, and can be dyed with fiber reactive dyes just like cotton. The linen adds a hair like light feathery texture that would make it super interesting in a lace weight shawl.
This listing is for the yarn undyed, but we can also dye this yarn in any of our pre-existing colorways, or do a custom colorway just for you (contact us for a custom listing... there would be an additional fee for this. This yarn would be amazing in a variety of different fiber arts - knitting, crochet, weaving, etc. Due to the manufacturing process, each skein may have tiny knots in it ranging from 1 to 3 knots on average per skein, as it is cut every 50g. They are barely noticeable but worth mentioning in case it's a problem.
As with all hand dyed or hand made items, we recommend hand washing your yarn/finished item in cool water and laying it flat to dry.
What exactly is rose pearl fiber?
This is a truly revolutionary fiber that will actually improve your skin as you use it. Pearl Infused Rose Fiber is made from all natural, recycled, and eco-friendly rose bushes (similar in feel to viscose bamboo).
It is then protein enriched with nano-pearl powder during the hardening stage, for a glossy luster and incredibly breathable material that is naturally antibacterial. The nutrients and trace elements are permanently infused into the fiber，so it will not wash out even after many repeated washes. You can touch the fiber and then rub your fingers together to feel the moisturizing effect from the pearls. This fiber also feels cool to the touch.
It is produced without any chemical additives. It is a completely all natural, environmental friendly and biodegradable product, just like wool, alpaca, and other all natural fibers. It takes fiber reactive cellulose dyes just like other plant based fibers.
*Far Infrared Emission
