I absolutely love shetland fiber. Shetland sheep are a primitive breed and can produce a wide variety of fiber types. This particular combed top is very soft at 24-29 microns, and is three inches long on average.

These tops are certified wool from the Shetland Islands. This wool comes from 700 individual crofters (small farms) that pool their wool clip together and ship to the mill to be sorted, scoured and processed. This small scale wool production has been in business for hundreds of years. The new colors are ecru, fawn and brown/black. The ecru and fawn are beautiful in their natural color, but imagine the magical colors that can be produced in your studio! We never know when we have the opportunity to purchase this highly prized wool so don’t hesitate and purchase now while all the colors are available.

Please contact us for a custom listing if you are outside of the USA. We are happy to ship all over the world and do not want to over-charge you.

PLEASE NOTE : This item is a special order and takes approximately 3-7 business days to ship on average. We will try to keep as much of it on hand as possible so we can ship it sooner, but please expect a small delay.

Thanks for looking!
