This yarn was hand painted, then hand spun by me. It is a wonderful combination of extra long teeswater locks, kid mohair locks, rose pearl fiber, and merino. It was lockspun as a thick single, then plied with a thinner rose pearl fiber in the same colorway. The locks are a rich cabernet red / purple, with hints of brown and grey. There are also occasional pops of red and blue throughout the yarn.
This is the highest class of yarn out there, and would be perfect to use as-is for a necklace, art cowl, scarf, or even just to display. You do not need to be a knitter or crocheter to use this yarn, though you still could knit, crochet, or even weave with it with amazing results.
This yarn is 6oz and is 32 yards.
