Bluefaced Leicester sheep are a rare breed from the UK (and probably our favorite breed of sheep). They have long wool with roman noses, and their wool is famous for its incredible silky shine and drape.
This wool is not as soft as merino, but is significantly stronger. It is still next to skin soft for the most part, and the 4 ply nature make it an ideal wool for socks that will last a lifetime while still being comfortable to wear. Takes dye beautifully.
