"Black Magic"

This is the same colorway as our regular Black Magic yarn, but dyed on vegan bases instead of wool!

This listing is for one skein of yarn, which is hand dyed in my signature paint brush method- literally painting the colors onto the yarn. This colorway is a random assortment of rainbow colors that have been overdyed black to darken the colors and let them shine through subtly, like an oil slick.

Most orders ship within 1-3 business days.

Base options:

Tencel- this is the super shiny yarn in the photos. Tencel is made primarily from eucalyptus trees and is a truly eco-friendly option. The yarn tends to feel a little bit stiff at first and softens up as you handle it. It has wonderful drape perfect for shawls. Available in fingering (437 yards) or DK weight (246 yards).

Cupro- this is a recycled cotton viscose yarn and comes in fingering weight at 464 yards per skein. It has a similar hand to tencel without being as stiff and has a slight shine that's more subtle than the tencel.

Every skein that you receive will look very similar to what you see in the photos, though no two skeins will be perfectly identical due to the way this colorway is dyed and also depending on what base you choose. If you plan to use multiple skeins for a project, please try to buy them all at once so I can make sure they match as closely as possible.

----

By default, our yarn will come to you in a skein and you will need to wind it into a ball or cake before using it. We offer ball winding service separately if you do not wish to do this yourself.

Care:

As with all hand dyed items, we recommend hand washing your yarn/finished item in cool water and laying it flat to dry. We rinse this yarn until the water runs crystal clear, but small amounts of excess dye may rarely come off with the first couple of washings or on your fingers If you wear lotions or have oily hands (this is called "crocking." If this happens, rest assured that it is only excess dye and should not affect the coloring of your yarn in any way. If a large amount of bleeding ever occurs with any of our items, please contact us so we can make it right. We always recommend hand washing handmade items to preserve the longevity of your beautiful work.

We recommend using cool water and a neutral soap, such as baby shampoo, when blocking your finished item if you are knitting or crocheting it.

Extra note: I photograph our products with the utmost care taken to ensure that the color in the photos accurately represents what you will get. Please keep in mind that different monitors can display colors differently and may also be slight variations from batch to batch.
