Notes about our single ply bases: These are all high twist bases, which mean that they will not pill as easily as other single ply yarns, but they will still pill more than a plied yarn will. The single ply nature of these yarns creates a very striking, distinctive appearance when knitted up, and also makes the yarn feel softer than a plied version of the same fiber would feel. We recommend these bases for things like hats, cowls, scarves, shawls, sweaters, and mitts. Ideally projects that will not see a huge amount of wear and tear.
